Yiwen Lu

Yiwen Lu is expected to graduate this spring from the University of Chicago, where she studies economics and political science. Previously, she interned at The Washington Post, The Charlotte Observer, USA Today and NBC Chicago. In 2022, she was awarded the Les Brownlee Memorial Scholarship by the Chicago Headline Club Foundation. Most recently, Yiwen was a ProPublica emerging reporter and served as the managing editor of her school’s newspaper, The Chicago Maroon. She enjoys rock climbing and watching old movies.
