What I do
I oversee the tech, home office and gifts sections at Wirecutter. I also launched the site’s style section in 2020 and standards team in 2022.
How I got here
I had worked at a few magazines in style and service journalism — most recently as an editor at New York magazine’s Strategist — before arriving at Wirecutter.
Fun fact about yourself
In 2017, a word I coined in an essay for The Cut was shortlisted for the Oxford word of the year. (It lost!)
Most important business lesson learned
Be nice.
Favorite Movie
“The Talented Mr. Ripley,” “Party Girl,” “Playtime.”
Favorite Book
Impossible, but “Mrs. Bridge,” “How Should a Person Be?” and “The Phantom Tollbooth” come to mind.
What you like about working for The Times
Vanishingly few places have The Times’s combination of ambition and experimentation. And the people, of course.
